Doak Campbell Stadium underwent a major transformation to elevate the fan experience while preserving its standing as one of college football’s premier venues. The project focused on modernizing amenities, improving comfort and accessibility, and celebrating the Seminole community’s tradition and spirit.
GMF reinforced the existing structure before installing new steel throughout both seating bowls to support expanded premium seating, upgraded concourses, modern restrooms, enhanced concessions, and improved circulation with multiple new stair towers. The modernization also included a strategic reduction of more than 12,000 seats to prioritize higher‑quality, premium options.
Approved by the FSU Board of Trustees in October 2023, construction began during the 2024 season and was carefully phased to maintain operations. All work was completed in time for the 2025 kickoff, delivering a reimagined stadium that blends innovation with tradition and strengthens FSU’s game‑day experience.
