Project Spotlight Winter Park Library & Events Center

This 55,256 square feet Library and Events Center boasts heavy interior columns with 1.75″ thick moment connection plates at girder beam attachments and a tilting perimeter steel column system that supports the integrated precast and glass panel systems. The Events Center and Library are only a short 6-feet apart from their closest points leaving logistical challenges for the erection team. By utilizing Synchro 4D and Touch Plan software on the front side, it allowed GMF to identify these challenges early and implement planning, making the erection process flow efficiently and smoothly.
