National Airport Day is the perfect time to share what’s next at Asheville Regional Airport—Phase 2 of the airport’s expansion is officially underway! ✈️

After completing Phase 1 and helping deliver the new North Concourse in Summer 2025, the GMF team is now focused on the South Concourse. Our crew is putting in the work, tackling the installation of massive 114-foot trusses weighing more than 24,000 pounds each. With 1,300 tons of structural steel in Phase 2 alone, the next chapter of AVL’s expansion is well underway.
